The Great Wall route is one of the 10 major projects in the construction of the Great Wall National Cultural Park (Beijing section). It starts from Mentougou district and runs 445 kilometers eastward through Changping, Yanqing, Huairou, Miyun, and Pinggu districts.
The route covers more than 30 tourist attractions, including the Badaling, Juyongguan and Mutianyu sections of the Great Wall, as well as more than 20 nationally designated key rural tourism villages and towns.
The launch of tourism transport signs is expected to make things easier for tourists to travel along the Great Wall, which will play a positive role in stimulating cultural and tourism consumption, the authorities say.
