Beijing-Macau cultural industry exchange event held in Macau

Beijing-Macau cultural industry exchange event, "Connecting the World, Perceiving Beijing," was held on Nov 15 in Macau. Hosted by the  State-owned Cultural Assets Administration Center (SOCAAC) of Beijing Municipality, and supported by the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Macau SAR, Macau SAR Government Cultural Affairs Bureau, and Macau SAR Government Tourism Bureau, the event took place at the Wynn Macau Hotel. The event was divided into two parts: the main conference in the morning and an exhibition in the afternoon.

During the morning session, speeches by leaders and business guests were held. The highlight was the establishment and launch of the "China International Collectible Vehicle Cultural Industry Alliance" by cultural organizations from Beijing, Hong Kong, Macau, Shenzhen, and other regions. This action corresponds to the specific actions outlined in the guiding documents jointly released by the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, which emphasized the development of China's traditional classic cars. It also laid the foundation for the planning of a cultural exchange project between Macau and Beijing in 2024, which will focus on collectible vehicle culture, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Macau's return to China. The event aims to strengthen the cultural industry exchange and cooperation between Beijing and Macau, promote the coordinated development of cultural industries in both places, and discuss the current development and future trends of the cultural industry in both places.

The event began with the screening of promotional videos showcasing the unique charm and cultural heritage of Beijing and Macau. Liang Huimin, director of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macau SAR Government, delivered a welcoming speech expressing her appreciation for the event and her expectations for future cooperation. Dong Dianyi, deputy director of the Beijing SOCAAC, emphasized the importance of cultural industry exchange and cooperation between Beijing and Macau in his speech. He expressed his expectations and support for in-depth exchanges between the two places' cultural industries. The signing and launch ceremony of the China International Collectible Vehicle Cultural Industry Alliance followed, marking a new stage of cooperation in the cultural industry between Beijing and Macau. This alliance will provide more opportunities for cultural industry cooperation  and promote the common prosperity and development of the cultural industry.

During the thematic speech session, Li Qiang, project manager of the South Kwong Culture and Creative Industry Limited in Macau, introduced the development of the exhibition industry in Macau and the progress of the China (Macau) International Automobile Expo. Wang Peng, founder of the Asia Digital Art Exhibition, gave a speech on how to better integrate technology and culture for urban cultural development. Wuge Jammin, president of the Macau Portuguese and Chinese Youth Cultural and Sports Exchange Association, shared the promotion of cultural exchanges between China and Portugal and their future development directions. Han Mei, CEO of Beijing Kaixin Mahua Entertainment Culture Media Co., Ltd., talked about cultural exchange and development visions between Beijing cultural companies and Macau. Finally, representatives from Macau Chessman Entertainment Production Co., Ltd., Hong Kong Auto Sports Culture Promoter Luo Jinwen, and Beijing Baixing Auto Culture Co., Ltd. spoke about the development and vision of the Macau entertainment industry, as well as the exchange and development of automotive sports culture in the region.

In the afternoon, the focus of the event shifted to the exchange and connection of collectible vehicle cultural industries between Beijing and Macau. A grand-scale exhibition and a parade of collectible vehicles took place at the outdoor square of the Wynn Macau Hotel. Eye-catching collectible vehicles from Beijing and Macau showcased the unique charm and industrial strength of the automotive culture in both places. Participants   expressed their admiration and engaged in in-depth exchanges. At the same time, the preliminary project for the "2024 Macau-Beijing International Collectible Vehicle Cultural Tour" was officially launched, marking the beginning of next year's event.

The successful holding of the Beijing-Macau cultural industry exchange event  provided a platform for cultural industry practitioners in Beijing and Macau to exchange and cooperate. Through a series of exchange activities, cooperation between the cultural industries of Beijing and Macau will yield even more fruitful results, jointly promoting the higher-level development of cultural industries in both places.

Both sides look forward to more fruitful cooperation in the cultural field, injecting new vitality into the development of the two regions' economies and creating a better life for the people of Beijing and Macau through the prosperity of the cultural industry.
