Beijing cultural consumption of industrial parks during Qingming Festival

The State-owned Cultural Assets Administration Center (SOCAAC) of Beijing Municipality conducted a sample survey of 8 municipal-level cultural industry parks. The data showed their cultural consumption vitality during this year's Qingming Festival, or Tomb Sweeping Day.

The 798 Art Park, Hongfu Cultural and Creative Park, Capital Langyuan Station and Hongqiao Market achieved cultural consumption of about 58 million yuan, more than 8 million yuan, 3 million yuan, and nearly one million yuan, respectively.

According to the survey, the 798 Art Park received more than 90,000 visitors during the festival.  Beijing Ullens Art Museum alone achieved sales revenue of about 5 million yuan from exhibitions, art derivatives and cultural peripheral products.

Langyuan Station welcomed 30,000 passengers during the festival, slightly higher than the same period last year. The Xiaoshan Gallery in the park maximizes its popularity and influence by virtue of its ability to tap global potential contemporary artists. It achieved sales of 450,000 yuan during the holiday. Fanxing Drama Village, a cultural industry park featuring performing arts, staged 15 performances during the three-day holiday, attracting nearly 3,000 viewers and achieving sales revenue of 255,000 yuan.

Liu Shaojian, secretary of the Party committee of the SOCAAC of Beijing Municipality, said that taking the Xiyuetang Library located in the Beihua Jiai Factory Cultural Industry Park as an example, the design of the spiral staircase in the library has attracted many literature and art lovers, making the library a great place to be. The library attracted 1,300 visitors during the holiday. The books on the G floor in the library come from the Chaoyang District Library. Citizens can borrow them with the "All-in-One Card" reader card, which is convenient and can meet the needs of surrounding residents.

In addition, Hongfu Cultural and Creative Park, which has cultural tourism resources such as Wendu Water City, attracted 500,000 passengers during the holiday. The consumer group, mainly family tourists who stayed for 2 days and 1 night, spent 450,000 yuan in the three amusement parks in the park, and drove the supporting hotels to achieve 2 million yuan in sales revenue.
