The National Aquatics Center in Beijing, known as the "Water Cube," which hosted swimming competitions at the 2008 Summer Olympics, has been converted to the "Ice Cube" for the Beijing 2022 Winter Games.
During the Beijing 2022 Games, it will host curling and wheelchair curling competitions. After the Games, the venue will be used as the "Water Cube" for water sports in spring, summer and autumn, and as the "Ice Cube" in winter for ice sports, becoming a model of sustainable utilization of Olympic venues.
