The activities staged by Beijing as the guest city at this year's Mexico City International Friendship Culture Expo showed contemporary China's openness, tolerance, and cultural inheritances, as well as the vitality and innovation-driven development of the capital's creative industries.

Through themed exhibitions, forums, promotion fairs, performance interactions and other diversified communication platforms, the “Chinese Culture, Design, Experience” exhibition selected 15 keywords to represent the traditional Chinese spirit, all corresponding to the works of 15 designers in modern and contemporary design fields. The natural, subtle and elegant styles of the exhibition reflected the renewal and sublimation of the Chinese design culture tradition.

Forums held during the exhibition focused on the common cultural interests of China and Mexico and promoted friendship between the two countries.

In addition, interactive cultural performances were held at the exhibition. By observing the unique craftsmanship of China and the way of life that has been passed down to the present, the local audience in Mexico was presented the charm of Chinese traditional culture in a new way, and became enthusiastic about further experiencing the essence of Chinese culture and design ideas.

More than 100 visitors attended the event, including teachers and students from local colleges and universities and professionals from neighboring provinces and cities.
