Beijing Culture Silicon Valley

(bjwzb.gov.cn) |Updated : 2015-12-10

Established in 2008, the Beijing Culture Silicon Valley has four core projects: a data center with a large equipment cabinet, a digital cultural experience pavilion-based teenager education center, the national standardized Dingjiu matrix graph code to trace product sources for anti-counterfeiting, and an early childhood education platform.

To date, the culture industry park has investment of 4 billion yuan ($626 million), and 400,000 sq m of the 700,000 sq m construction site have been completed. The project has been listed in the cultural industry investment and financing public service platform group by the Culture Ministry, and selected as a major project from 2012 to 2013 by the Beijing municipal government. A large comprehensive cultural creative industry cluster has begun to take shape.

Located in the Fangshan district of southwest Beijing, the cultural industry park is at a crucial point of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei center area. Its equipment cabinet capacity is 40,000 times that of the Fangshan district data center.

The industry platform will contribute to the fusion of the mobile Internet, cloud computing, big data, the Internet of Things and the cultural creative industry. It will enhance online and offline interaction, promote healthy development of the cultural industry and Internet finance, greatly advance industrial transformation, and function as an important science and technology backbone of strengthened services, optimized spatial distribution and improved urban management. Its fruits will be shared by the entire region.
